Retirees – Retiree Outsourcing

Professional Benefits Services offers a turnkey Retiree Service Center that provides self-funded or fully insured Medicare Supplement plans, prescription drug plans, billing services, advocacy and personalized attention to retiree needs. We realize the value of retirees to an organization and it’s history. Secondly, PBS realizes the kind of service retirees are expecting and often need to feel comfortable with health care plans. Retirees are inundated with information from many sources. Our goal is to help them understand and lessen the confusion. Our Retiree Service Center consultants are very knowledgeable about Medicare, Medicare Supplement and Prescription Drug programs. Moreover, they are trained and experienced in communicating with retirees and doing so in a patient and compassionate manner to achieve an understanding by the retiree.

Professional Benefits Services has excellent relationships with A++ rated, national Medicare Supplement carriers, as well as Self-funded and Fully insured prescription drug carriers. We can obtain group pricing, as well as individual pricing. PBS manages the initial enrollment, communications before and after the enrollment process, card distribution and subsequent maintenance of enrollment and eligibility. We take the work out of the client HR department and free HR professionals to devote time to their core responsibilities.

Billing Service Options

PBS invoices retirees monthly for health care plans, depending on the level of support from the employer. Payments may be made by check or Automatic Deduction from checking or savings accounts (ACH).

Customer Call Tracking

We understand people and because we know how frustrating call trees and extensive menus can be on the telephone, we don’t use them. All PBS phones are answered by friendly, live people whose goal is to satisfy the caller with what they need, when they need it. Calls are answered in less than 30 seconds, generally, with less than a 2% abandonment rate. Telephone calls are monitored and reported through a call tracking system collecting data continuously throughout the work day. These reports are available to clients should they request them.

Employee Enrollment Process

PBS is prepared to initiate and complete the entire enrollment process for the client. We can provide enrollment forms, conduct employee meetings, and provide PBS staff to assist employees or retirees in completing enrollment forms. PBS can present a full benefit review at the meeting and include consumer guidance on cost containment, or simply provide health plan benefit communication materials for the employer to present. PBS will do as many or as few meetings as the client would like. All of this, to the extent the client chooses, is provided for one setup fee.* But, that’s not all! There are no extra charges for ID Cards, plan documents (SPD), or personalized check setup.
